新 Atarashimon (New) New & Renewed Shops in Sapporo

The izakaya "Matsuri," located right by Toyohira Park Station, has reopened after a renewal. Here you can enjoy oyster dishes handpicked by an "oyster sommelier," including "Yume Kaki" from Miyagi and "Sakoshi Kaki" from Hyogo. There's also a wide range of dishes made with fresh ingredients, such as horse sashimi, liver, and seared local chicken. With plenty of local sake on offer, you can - just as the name "Matsuri" (festival) suggests - happily drink the night away as if at a festival. There's an omikuji fortune slip at the entrance, and apparently you get a treat if you draw the best fortune, so be sure to give it a try.
